Last updated: April 10, 2026
Overview
WikiRacer is a Wikipedia navigation game. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
WikiRacer does not collect personal information. We do not require an account, login, or registration.
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
Game history (articles visited, scores, timestamps)
Game preferences (mode, time limit, tool settings)
Streak and statistics data
Daily challenge completion status
Notification preferences
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
Third-Party Services
WikiRacer uses the following third-party services:
Wikipedia API — We fetch article content from the Wikimedia Foundation's public API. Wikipedia's privacy policy applies to data transmitted to their servers. Requests include a User-Agent header identifying the app but no personal information.
RevenueCat — If you subscribe to WikiRacer Pro, RevenueCat processes your subscription through Apple's App Store. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID but no personal information from us. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
Google AdMob — Free users see interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization subject to your device's tracking preferences. See Google's privacy policy for details.
PostHog — We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics to understand how the app is used and improve the experience. PostHog collects anonymous usage events (e.g., games played, features used) but no personal information. See PostHog's privacy policy for details.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third party. Challenge codes shared between players contain only game data (article titles, scores) and no personal information.
Data Retention & Deletion
All game data is stored locally on your device. You can delete your game history at any time from Settings > Clear Game History. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data.
Children's Privacy
WikiRacer does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to use.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app with an updated date above.
